I did and it sucked! I had to use a C-clamp just to compress the bottle enough to make the fluid flow into the tranny. Worked ok after I did that though. Just took forever.

Also that syncromax stuff is some good shit. I just changed the fluid in my 94 and it shifts sooo much smoother now. I'll be interested to know how your tri-axe works out. I want one too.

Had one, not a fan and then I saw the light... MGW...for the win.

I'm just wondering how short the throw is. As in, is it so short that its going to bother me.

Tri-Ax shifters are pretty good. I like how MGWs feel much better and run them on my Mustang and Vette.

No, I've been using one on my Mach 1 since '03 and wouldn't want to go back to a longer throw shifter.

Just finished my install and fluid change. Everything is really smooth and the car isn't grinding 5th anymore. The Tri-ax is cool. It's very effortless, all you have to do is push up or down and it does the rest of the work. The throw seems a bit longer than my americanmuscle brand shifter though. Comparatively, the $90 american muscle short shifter is not that different. The Tri-ax is better and smoother, but not by an incredible margin and I don't know how much effect the oil had.

Because steeda is USA made. American muscle shifter is far from American.

Update: I've driven a little bit more with it. It's a great shifter. I have a couple complaints though. Everything feels too tight and the spring is heavy to the point of tiring your arm. The shifter has no neutral play either which kind of annoys me and I feel like I'm actually having to use arm strength to get it in 1st and fifth. Maybe it's just a learning curve.

It took me a couple days of driving for the Royal Purple to actually "kick in". I didn't notice any smoother shifts for a couple days, and I thought it wasn't going to have any new effect. Then it started shifting much smoother. Unlike with all my automatics where if it needed a fluid change, the effect was instant.

Like I said, the centering springs are super stiff

See that's what I was concerned about. No neutral play, and way too short shifts. You can improve on the stock shifter without going to those extremes.

Shifts aren't to short at all. It's a good shifter.
