Dropped it off at Mikes after work. Praying he'll turn it around quick enough to have it back together for the cruise.

I've heard nothing but good things about Mike. Doug on here is flying with that turbo-vert street car and if I drove a slushbox I would have him build it. Nothing like a local place that knows what they are doing and can tweak it in person if it needs it or you change your motor combonation down the road.

option 3 - Buy yourself a book and build it yourself and buy you a nice converter with the savings.

Im of the mentality of not trusting anyone and doing anything and everything myself though.

I'm a measure twice cut once type deal, Although I agree with lason to a certain extent transmission is something I leave to professionals.

seriously considered this route. after talking to some folks i came to the realization that like most things there is a learning curve (along with specialized tools) that i'd have to overcome which quite possibly means i'd be doing this job more then once. i really just want to bolt it in and forget about it. since i am trying to make this a "drive to the track toy" i need it to be reliable.

Just do it right and use Mike. Mike built my trans and it is flawless and he also rebuilt the converter and set it up and its perfect. Do it once do it right.

Yeah I dont blame you a bit. I did the glide in my old ride and spent alot but it was all on aftermarket parts and saved the labor and it worked awsome. Then a few months later the tranny in my wifes car went out and I sent it to Eagle Trans and the car came back a few pounds lighter because it was missing half the bolts in the front end.

I dont trust anyone to work on my cars now but if I do need someone, I go to the best I can afford. Sounds like you need to take it to Mike.

He already has it, hopefully I'll get a call today with good news about what he found.
