I bet the diode in the alternator is bad and is bleeding a/c current into the electrical system causing the humming noise you spoke of. And when this happens it also wreaks havoc on the crank position sensor.

What plugs/plug gap do you have? I had similar issues with feedback through the radio and cutting out up top because I got some plugs that were too cold for my set up. Worth a look to check cheap stuff first...

That's a voltage/ground strap issue. The bucking is because of a low voltage at the coils causing a weak spark.

New battery going in tomorrow, along with I got a new alternator for it, new coil pack for the one that previously broke, new plugs, oil change and injector cleaner, recharging k&n filter, cleaning all ground and battery connections, and double checking all grounds, as well as removing all the stereo speaker wires that are just routed through out the car for a previous system, as well as previous alarm. All in efforts to get the car running back on par, eliminate the ground buzz, and get this car on the road to a new owner!
