oil pump hitting oil pan.

I put my oil pan last night. It's a moroso 8qt oil pan. It was pretty difficult to get on, but I got it. Once I got it on I noticed a slight buldge in the side of it. And when you tap on it, you can definatley tell something is up against it. It's right where the oil pump is. I pulled this pan off of a 302 based engine, and it is going on another 302 based engine. The same pump is being used from the other engine as well. I didn't notice if it was making contact on the last engine, but it was easy to pull off, so I don't think it was. Should I pull the pan back off, or is it not that big of a deal??

I think its the pickup tube youre experiencing issues with personally (but could be wrong) try loosening all mounting bolts on pump/screen and try pan fitment. Then go back and tighten the pump if that helped
