94 chevy k1500 blazer wipers

It has one setting of wiping for some reason... It normally should have several but only one speed no matter what it's turned/switched to. Also, when u click it off, it continues to wipe for 5-10 wipes before it stops. What causes this? Or what needs replacing. Thx.
1994 Chevy K1500 Blazer Z71 350ci auto 155k miles.
