Finally got the fox going and the dronemasters must go. I know it doesnt help that it doesnt have tailpipes. I have some stock tailpipes that are supposed to fit a fox and they either don't or I've gone full retard. My questions : are the mufflers supposed to be offset inlet/offset outlet? Any parts store mufflers quieter than the flowbastards and worth putting on? Does anyone have pics of how the tailpipes route?

Tip: When I dumped my 2 chamber 40 series Flowmasters it virtually eliminated the drone. It just made bass and a lot of cab noise, but no drone in the rpm range that typically produces drone. And this was with FRPP shorties, Pypes o/r H, Flows turned down at axle.
And every Flowmaster muffler for a Fox based Mustang that I've seen is always offset/offset.Last edited by LS1Goat; 05-02-2011, 06:54 PM.

Putting dumps on will help a lot to reduce drone. As well I had friend that new a muffler guy and put some 12" glass packs in front of the mufflers like resonators and it made a huge difference and took all the drone out. Its sort of a taste thing though cause ading two glasspacks in th h/x pipe may not be for everyone89 dove grey lx, turbo blowthrough

if you want drone free performance, see if you can squeeze a pair of hemi-turbos under it. not sure if they'll fit a fox mustang, but they'll definitely fit other foxes

I'm lost... I've owned every fox body and they certainly make offset/offset mufflers for them!
