    I've always gone by half the RPM on a 302. 3000rpm, 15psi

I have always gone by the 10lbs per 1k rpm . But , if my motor had under 20 at idle I would be changing the oil or looking for another problem . I think this rule was told to me by a chevy guy when I was a kid but I like to see 25-30 at idle when hot and 45 up when wound up . This is just what I like .

depends on how the bearing clearances are setup. It can live on as low as about 7psi per 1k rpm ROUGHLY. 10 is good rule of thumb
