OR... You sheared the pin that holds the shift fork.

The only thing you can be certain of is that you have to drop your transmission.

Just saw that fucking shifter handle.

Get rid of that when you drop that t5. Your transmission will thank you if you used the stock knob and have your stops adjusted properly.

If the pin were broken 1st wouldnt engage right?

See it throws Me off because sometimes it feels fine. If it were fucked all the time id be all for a shift fork issue, but as you can see in the vid it will engauge about 25% of the time.

I just want the right parts so when it's dropped i can replace the forks, or whatever else all in one time.

          But, that never works out.

What's wrong with my handle? Lol it fits my hand pretty good

Also the stops are adjusted like so:

I pulled the stop all the way out, pulled 4th back until it engaged and ran the stop up to the shift handle, barely touches, pushes it a little.

            Did the same for third.

dude, it's not like a fucking shift fork costs a thousand dollars...

buy a goddamn shift fork and a synchro and get after it.

Not worried on cost, just trying to figure out what the problem and why it happened so I can properly fix it.

Excuse me for not throwing parts at it.

That handle allows you to yank the ever living fuck out of the shifter. Combine that with an improperly adjusted shift stop and you wind up with a bent fork, ruined pad, or sheared pin.

I am a very fast shifter. I have had more arguments over people getting pissy thinking I have a race prepped automatic after I walk them in a dig race.

I use a stock knob on my shifter in case my clutch foot and shift hand aren't on the same millisecond in timing. This allows my hand to slide off the shifter. With your handle it has no choice but to go in with a crunch.

My shift stops are adjusted in every gear, while driving. Mine are super tight, to the point where two more threads would cause the transmission to jump out of gear on deceleration. My transmission is still alive after 3 years of powershifting every weekend and half of the weeknights. I did rebuild it when I first got the car, though.

I'll be reshimming it this summer to get another 3 years from a stock t5.

I see, and that makes sense.

Lucky for me I can fix this problem without having to take the input and counter shaft out.
