Is moog really any better?

What is it that you disagree with. Not a fan of Moog?

Iv always suggested moog stuff on any vehicle Iv worked on. Inner tie rods on rack and pinion vehicles have the made the most difference from what Iv seen. Iv replaced factory inners with cheap tie rods and have had them come back a few months later with them worn out. Iv yet to have to replace any moog part Iv installed.

Thats good to know about the inner ends. I just replaced my rack for the third time in 100,000 miles this past nov. Inner ends start knocking. This one has 15,000 on it and its knocking. I may just rebuild the inner myself this time and not mess with the warranty. I also changed the control arm bushings and outer ends at the same time with moog. So far very happy eith the quality.

People say Dana/spicer are the best now. Too bad you can't even buy tie rods under that name. It has to be AC delco or something since they're ran through GM now.

For mustang, motorcraft is probably the best you can buy. I'm sure if you go to the ford house and tell them you need parts, a motorcraft part is what you'll get. Which was probably what was on the car for the first 100K miles so I don't see any reason they wouldn't last another 100K if you used them as replacements.
