  • rear sagging in my 93gt

and its tearing up my tire, its only sagging in the rear passenger side, could it be the quad shock or the strut? i dont really think its the strut as its brand new but who knows.

I guess a bad quad could make it lean, but I would think that most of the support was from the spring and main shock/strut on each corner. But if one side had more support from a quad that the other didn't, it makes sense. That's a good question. I usually take them off for more wheel/tire space. I've never found too much benefit from them, other than eliminating some wheel hop, but it is usually followed up with some Mega Bite Jrs or something.

i really would hate to think that it could be the springs or the struts as everything is new, the only thing i didnt put new back on it would have been the quad shocks

Was it immediately noticeable when you installed the springs? If one of the springs was not seated correctly (end of the coil in the grove), it could skew the car's stance.

i really didn't pay attention to it and didn't really notice it till i took her out on the streets and drive her around, but if the spring did not sit correctly would the spring not be higher therefore not sagging? when im looking at it from the back it looks even to me

But if the other spring is not in correctly, then the opposing side will be higher, putting more weight on that side. The quad shocks are really just there to keep from suspension travel (POS weak control arms).

You know the groove I'm talking about, right? It looks like an imprinted top of a coil. It's got to have the end of the coil fit right into place.

actually i just remembered i have aftermarket control arms so there is no groove for it to fall into

                          This.

Suspension reacts to the opposite corner. Check the front left spring, strut, control arm, bushings, etc.

Ugh... I hope not. That'll suck. If so, just weld it up and reinforce it.
