Cant you trim the Mark VIII shroud? You will want to get yourself 2 75 amp Tyco relays if you want to do it the right way. A painless thermal switch for the thermostat housing, and tap into the low pressure switch for 12V key on source when the AC kicks on to engage the high speed fan setting. Keeps the fan off whn the temp is below the thermal switch temp, mine is 200 on and 180 off, allows the car to warm up quicker in the winter, and lowers the head pressure when the AC is on. No forgetting to flip a switch.

There really isnt much room for trimming, maybe a 1/2 in, which isnt enough. Thanks for the wiring tips

Dual Contour fans put out about 3800 cfm and are cheap!

I just put one of those Taurus fans in my 92 last week. What dimensions do you need? I paid $29 at the yard, had quite a few to choose from, too. It may pull some amps at start up, but it docent seem to be a problem. I just upgraded to a 130 amp alternator, as well.

I bought my Taurus fan on Ebay for around $50 + $15 shipping and the guy cleaned it up real nice so it looked new! BTW, it does pull a TON of amps on start up especially if you run the hi-speed all the time. I've considered putting one of those DC Controllers on mine since it hits so hard when it starts. It moves a TON of air as well.

There was a guy on ebay who sold and modified Mark VIII fans to fit a fox and he included all the wiring necessary....dont know if he still does it...this was only a couple of months back....just my two cents

that one is 5 inches deep. when they say "trimmed" what do they mean? trimming the radiator side I would assume?

On the mark viii fan I have, it looks like you could trim about 3/4-1 inch off, but then it looks like it would be dangerously close to the radiator.
