  • Need help - electric fan install/conversion on a fox

Ok, here's where I'm at. I just bought a new alum radiator and this thing is huge, so big the the mark VIII elec fan I have will not fit.

The fan is about 5.5 in deep and I only have 4.5 in of clearance between the rad and the water pulley. SO obviuosly this fan isnt going to work.

I've done a little reading up on the net and it looks like some people are using the 95-2000 ford focus dual fan setup. They are supposed to be about 3.25-3.5 in deep, but I cant find any CFM specifications or anything other than than.

What other options are available for my setup? its a 351w with a 2 1 1/4 in row radiator. THe focus fan is $338 from the ford house and I dont want to spend that kind of money unless I'm posistive it will do what i need.

I want the MOST CFM that I cant fit in there, I want to be cool at the redlight when it 100 degrees out this summer.

TIA, My car is sitting until I figure out a solution.

3.8 taurus single from around a 93 model...trust me, they work. Theyre right up there with a mark but not as deep.

Placing it in front of the radiator instead of behind in a traditional fashion. Make the Fan push air threw radiator instead of pulling threw
