  • Pro Tools 105 HD bender and JD2 Notchmaster

Got the bender and the die, in, working on the stand for it. I am using some old roller file cabinets to make the stand, going to have 2 wheels and 2 pegs so I can move it around, I am going with the swag hydraulic conversion so I don't need to bolt it to the ground.

Have you used the notcher yet? I need a new one and came back to this thread to look the JD2 up and order one and found a link about it having a limitation of about 20 degrees before the tube hits the hole saw. I could see it being a problem but surely the guy was missing something because I am sure a company wouldn't sell a tool and advertise that it could cut a 60 degree notch when in reality it couldn't?

Got any input from real world use yet?

I am also looking at the pro tools 501 but that $300 price tag is a little hard to swallow if there are tools out there that work in the $200 range.

I have not, cage is still a couple of weeks out, I did get a swag reach around for mine so that would change things a bit, I think a really deep hole saw may have issues but a std hole saw would be able to do the full 60 degrees with the stock setup.

Put these things to use yet?

I am thinking about buying a MM bolt in cage and making my own door bars.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Finished the bender stand and the swag offroad hydraulic attachment, I can roll the setup anywhere around the shop as needed. Also picked up a very nice mittler brothers 6" radius bend protractor and tube angle gauge. I used some miata control arm bolts for the adjustable legs.
