If you are on a budget, I'd weld in a sump and run an external pump.

Current pick up is a 3/8" tube mounted in the sending unit that mounts to the bottom/front of the tank.

I'm pretty sure that pump will take you well beyond the limits of that 289 block.

Even with e85? Or should I forgo that method now that I have the intercooler. I did pick up some nice 83lb injectors from Keith I'd like to use but don't want them being too much overkill and causeing issues.

If I use the pump I currently have, I can use that money elsewhere like rails and BOV, fittings etc.

Um, I feel like e85, while a good option, may be a bit of a headache for what you are doing.

You are going to be block limited at around 500, and that's not going to be hard to do on 93. Plus e85 doesn't sit up well, and it can vary from station to station.

You won't have an issue with 83's being too big on gas.

Works with e85 and can be run in the tank as well. Might be another option for you. They make a dual one as well all in one unit.

With the 83lb injectors, build it to run 93 primarily and have a tune for e85 if you wanna. But like said above, 93oct tune will be enough to break parts.

Ok, so up until I bought these Trickflows I was going to use the stock 289 manifolds flipped and be on my way. Now, the port from the head is massive compared to the stock manifolds. The manifolds can't be more than a 1-1/4 primary and 2" collector. Does anyone forsee an issue with this? I just think that now the manifolds are a bottleneck.
