We havent ever been able to get "correct" timing out of the miata, so we decided to let someone look at it for us. The timing was off a tooth on the crank, so the cams were actually set retarded from what they should have been. We paid for that, but that is the first time we have paid for anything but an allignment.
One of the top winning cars had an 8k endurance motor built for it, and went under the radar until one of the judges happend to have an engine built by the same shop, and the shop was bragging that thier $8k endurance motor was winning lemons every race.
