Got some Festiva stuff done Sunday. The engine bay is cleaned up and I'm starting to remove useless (to me) parts.
Now for the "Church Up"... I used 66 Autocolor for this: paint, clear and hardener all-in-one. You shake it, pull the red cap off and pop it to release the clear/hardener into the paint and go to town.
Laid down pretty smooth. I'm going to lightly wet sand it and hit it with a couple more tomorrow.
On another note... Festivas are REALLY easy to work on!

would I trust it to fly me to the moon? no...
would I trust it to hang a turbo? yes because I've done it a few times

Sooooo... Ran into an issue. The Kia timing cover and BLOCK appear to have different bosses for the Crank Position Sensor. I was wondering, "why is my Escort motor retarded?" and realized maybe it was me.
It was me.
So greenbullitt and I are going to strip down the Kia motor tomorrow and, well, I'll be building ANOTHER BP. I ordered some ARP head studs and an MLS head gasket kit. Hopefully, the valves are still good and we just need exhaust guides. I'll have the head, crank and block to Eddie @ Arlington machine in a couple days.Originally posted by PGreenCobraI can't get over the fact that you get to go live the rest of your life, knowing that someone made a Halloween costume out of you.
