Do you have anyone lined up for the paint work. I would like to talk to you about it if not. I'm north of rockwall not to far from you.

I have some decent experience doing fiberglass bodywork and paint (not offering to paint it) so if you want some help preping the body I'll be happy to shoot down 380 and give you a hand with it. If nothing else, it'll save you money (not time) on the body work that will be required.
I did all the paint and body myself in a barn on my old track fairings.

Well no real updates, still no paint. I've just been enjoying it in gelcoat without having to worry about people scratching it or where I park it. So thats been pretty nice. I still need to do a rear end gear change, but its not a pressing issue. I just thought I would update the thread since she rolled over 1000 miles the other day.

FYI, I blame you for my 6 month obsession with eventually building a F5 roadster. I've even been laying the groundwork with the wife explaining that I've always wanted to build one and I will eventually do it in the next 2-4 years. Seriously, I had all but forgotten about these cars for at least the last decade thinking I'd never be able to afford it or actually build one but now I'm starting to give it more thought and I'm pretty sure that in 1-2 years I'll be able to buy a complete kit with IRS, then a motor/trans the year or so after that. It's all your fault.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.

Did you ever put the gears in it, or did I miss that?
Going from 2.73's to 3.73's is already a night & day jump...it will probably feel insanely different in such a light car.70' Chevelle RagTop

It was a sick 10r, and yes, it was for sale a few years ago... Long gone though. When I repaint my current 10r track fairings I'll post up new pics.

Im thinking either 3:55 or 3:73's. Right now I dont even touch 5 gear on the highway unless Im doing like 90 haha."You don't so much drive it, more like poke it with a sharp stick and channel the fury when you piss it off."
