That right there was me holding my self up on the bike and grimacing. the entire 17 mile option for the century was a steady climb. I didnt anticipate that going into it.

Ahhh, I wouldn't blame you either way, white cyclists are the worst!!

Like I said on FB, I really want to do a century ride this summer. I've done several metric centuries, but never the big one.
I ride a steel Raleigh, and my longest ride on that bike is about 75miles non-fitted and not tuned. I've rented an aluminum/carbon bike in Cali for 3 different 70 mile rides and it's really shown me how brutal my steel bike is.
Congrats! A century is no joke! My furthest last season was 42 miles and it was brutal. I haven't ridden since September though. Got married in Nov, effed my back up shortly after, amd the spring has been home renovation before the baby boy arrives!
