What do the latest US crime figures tell us about gun crime in America? Which states have the most firearms murders, robberies and assaults?
Anyone ever see that? Apparently 517 "murders" in 2010 from guns in NY (Per 100k, 2.64).
Gun friendly state PA = 457 (Per 100K, 3.62)
Gun friendly state TX = 581 (Per 100K, 3.19)
Gun friendly state FL = No stats
Gun friendly state AZ = 232 (Per 100K, 3.47)
On the surface, it could be argued that gun control has a minor effect. Looking around 20% or so. However, I'm still not buying into it at all for all the proper reasons. However, I never knew that map existed. Granted it is data provided by the gov and we have to put trust in a UK site (which could very well skew the data). Still, even as it stands it sure seems clear to me the risk vs reward for gun control is not there.
I'm not even talking about constitutional issues and the 1001 points of contention.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

I think if you are a cop and are that reckless you should be fired and charged. There is not excuse to miss someone that close with 17 rounds. Of course the media is still going to blame the citizens with guns on this one like they did at the beginning.

Let's take a look at the most important numbers. Fatalaties:
Jeffery Johnson - 1
NYPD - ZERO!

Let us see you engage a single soft target at 15 yards or less with a backdrop of a very populated street. Oh yea, and let that target have a gun and start engaging you at the same time.
I guess you're thinking this is straight out of a highly scripted movie where no one misses?

We do run and gun drills and active shooter stuff all the time and it will for sure screw with your accuracy a tad bit. The real deal is even that much more adrenaline involved. I wish we could do active shooter training twice a year and maybee that would take the edge off of it some for the new guys if they so happen to end up in a gun fight but who knows. Standing there shooting at a target is great and all but when the target starts shooting back your body does strange things.Whos your Daddy?
