I think Matt is a good guy. As an officer its in his better interest not to let some shit from online escalate to something. I seriously doubt he didnt say something because he was thinking Eric/Brent were intimidating or anything like that. He is use to dealing with much worse people on the street on a regular basis. Yup. I agree with you. There is something very toxic about this enviorment here on the board that brings out the crazy in ALL of us at times. Plus, its difficult to interpret tone through text at times so one statement can be taken completely the wrong way very easily depending on the readers mood at the very moment. I just had to learn that my sense of humor doesnt translate very well online at all and that im not very good at articulating it at times. Mix that with my e badass rep, i cant win either way. If im too blunt, im being a hardass, if im sarcastic im being passive aggressive. I cant win either way at times so i can undersand Matt's dilemma.

I'm constantly amazed at the people who cry foul when they are called out on their behavior or blatant contradictions of expecting every one else to abide by one standard while they are above it.

Very true and I will say you are very good at it online. What you say is true about fighting, most times it doesn't solve anything, in fact sometimes only makes it worse. But, there are other times that someone needs a foot firmly placed in their ass for crossing the line. Something just go too far, or the joke gets too pushed too far. At some point, you guy will push someone past their limit and something will happen. But that's what happens when you're a bully, eventually someone will bully you back. /shrug.
