I drove the Genesis coupe 4 banger and wasn't one bit impressed, drove a new GTI and was impressed.
But those coupes are gorgeous, I know that much.

A simple tune on a GTI will yield 300lbs of torque, which is what I call fun.
Then they just go up from there, problem is it's FWD

I still dig those Speed 3's but I just couldn't get over the front smilie face, the only issue.
I know it doesn't make much sense but from what I have read the R isn't worth the price increase, there a are a couple of articles out there comparing it to the GTI and was rather surprising.
On a different note, I wish VW would bump up the power a bit more from the factory. I heard rumors they will be doing it on the next gen but probably won't be much.

Don't count me out yet! PowerAxel makes a tune for my car that yields 45hp/75 tq. It's a 21psi tune running 93 octane. As for stock/stock, my Gen has already beat an '11 GTI auto. All I have is a CAI/MBC.Karussell White - 2010 Genesis Coupe R-Spec 6MT 2.0T -

Actually how much more boost are you running over stock?
The auto on those GTI's is fucking fantastic.

Did you consider a GTI before you bought it?
There are only two published instances of an AWD Mazdaspeed3 that I've found. Some guy did his own, and DG Motorsports built one. It requires tons of custom fabrication and a different gas tank, but it's doable.
