If she had an ounce of self respect and/or didn't need your half of the rent, she'd have thrown you out by now. I'm not sure why you think you're magically going to qualify to live at this place in a few months when you don't now. You may want to start checking on those one bedrooms in the area for yourself so you don't have to live in a motel 6 when she does finally throw you out of HER place.
Side note - somebody fill me in on the Texas law... does a criminal conviction fall off your record after 7 years like an item on your credit report? I know it doesn't up north...

I have found two places thru three different apartment locaters in the past and they were shit holes way away from my job. No thanks.
