I'm planning on going to Vegas in June so I'm looking at flights right now. I live in Del Rio, which is ~2.5 hours from SA and 7 hours from Dallas. All my buddies are leaving from Dallas, so my options are leaving from SA and meeting them in Vegas or driving to Dallas and flying w/ them.
When looking at the rates on Southwest.com, most of the flights out of SA are $169 each way, non-stop. But when looking at the Dallas to Vegas rates, a lot of them are $107 but have a stop in SA.
So my question is, could I book the cheaper flights from Dallas to Vegas, but just catch the plane in SA? It'd be easy on the way back, I could just get off the plane and not return, but going out there, I'd have to show up to SA with my ticket saying DAL -> LAS. Anyone done this or know if it's possible? Saving $120 is definitely worth being put on the terrorist watch list to me.
