LMFAO! Well that was far from the case and we ended up having somewhat of a shitty Saturday I promised to take he and the Mrs. out on the town in two weeks and to be better prepared.

Started out simple enough. Got a few texts of things going on the the DFW, so I rsvp'd, picked him up from his moms house and took him by his brothers house, grabbed a bite to eat, got called to go back to his brothers house (dramatic / pathetic drug head brother at that) We go back by there, and he puts a quick carbaje on the whole thing and we head out of Cleburne.

Get ready to go to destination #1 after being several hours behind originally intended plans, and we pull into a CVS so that he can take a shit, and I can grab some beer. We get back out to the truck and it wouldn't start. Called USAA and had them dispatch a motorclub roadside assistance person. Before motorclub guy gets there his brother shows up half... well, completely fucked up drunk and was driving! My friend gets into a verbal altercation with his brother about driving drunk, and complicating our already irritating situation by added a public drunk to the mix. I call his mom and she comes to get the brother. Shortly before drunk brother and his vehicle had left, the motor club guy arrived to get up back on the road. Never did get the truck running again, so we walked from Crowley to Burleson and got my car. Yes... the '02 escort.. and went back to the CVS where we tied it up to my car and I pulled the truck to my place.

Found a badass hook up in Grandview (old friend of mine that has a vehicle transportation business on the side for extra scrilla) He loaded up my friends truck and took it all the way back to Killeen yesterday late afternoon for FREE.

All I wanted to do was have a great stress free, fun weekend with an old friend and instead we Forrest Gumped our way through the whole thing and didn't do much of anything. I'm the proud owner of a case of Miller Lite so I suppose we could always try again in two weeks. I just wish I had been able to do something more fun, but it was his family and his truck that were the wrench in our plans so I don't feel completely responsible.
