    More on principle than anything else. Costs are about the same. I strongly dislike TSA and all of their bullshit. I personally have (accidentally, mind you) carried this knife on board a 737:





    My friend's sister lives out there, and she can't get a California CHL, even though she's had a CHL in Indiana, I think. Apparently you have to have a good reason, like a violent stalker, or something like that. Without reciprocity, my Texas CHL is useless.

      Sheriff a few counties over from where i'm from will supposedly sign off on one with a $40,000 donation to his dept.

        CA is an "at will" CHL county by county. It's Sheriff's discretion who gets CHL and who doesn't. Most are a pain in the a$$ and do crap as cited above if you want one. You need $$, fame or both to get a CHL in CA.
