Has anyone done one of these programs through school? I have the opportunity to go study in London in the fall at Richmond University. The only problem is I'm on a tight schedule if I want to graduate on time (Spring 2012) and it's hard to find classes that will transfer back to UTD and still lock in a summer schedule. I'm going to see my undergrad dean to at least see if it's feasible, but I wanted to see if anyone had any first-hand experience.

It's very expensive but I'm hoping to nab some scholarships. Everything is included for the most part - room, ten meals a week, air travel and ground transpo to the school. I've been over to that side of the world last winter and it was awesome. Not only will I be there for at least 1 F1 race (Italy) and 3 Moto GP Races including Valencia, but I'll be there for Ocktoberfest, and I plan at least 2 trips to Amsterdam.

So if anyone has any input or previous experience let me know, I have a little over a month left to submit my application.

    Thanks,
    Bryan

I would say it is worth graduating late, you only live once.

Would do it in a heartbeat, still trying to find a way to study abroad once while in graduate school.

Do it! My ex, went over on on of those programs to study @ Oxford and she loved it. I've been traveling to EU for a while now and I would drop everything in a heartbeat if I had the chance to live there again (I live in the Netherlands for 1year.)

Do you really still need us to validate going for you?

Depends how bad you want to graduate. I wouldn't let anything slow my graduation, and wouldn't change how I did things.

My daughter spent her sophomore spring semester in Rome. They actually had a campus in Albano (outside Rome) and it was very reasonable. Spend the money on a Euro-Rail pass and travel your ass off. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If at all possible, do it.

I studied at Oxford for a semester. One of the best times of my life.

And yes, the food and the weather both sucked.

Buddy of mine did it in Europe. Said it was a blast. I'd do it.
