With that being said, there is still going to need someone to regulate the people who are doing things illegaly, which if that is the case, isn't going to resolve anything 100%.
Man look at the bigger picture. You actually think a guy who runs a multinational corporation is going to completely avoid taxes? These people spend billions figuring out new ways to smuggle it. Lose billions if not trillions in product annually getting it seized? They're no different than wall street crooks, they would just figure out creative tax loop holes just like everyone else. Risk VS reward in business. Look at countries that legalize things, crime went down because of a heap of it is Drug related. Also if they need people to regulate them the taxes will pay for new jobs so whats wrong about that?

Yeah, I'm always being approached by someone hustling moonshine. Makes perfect sense.

What places have legalized it and are we talking about all drugs or just mary jane? I am not questioning you, I am asking cause I really don't know. No need to put me in a caps lock.
Caps lock? My post isn't in caps. Must be a setting on you computer.

You're not making any sense. Sounds like you have just been skimming though and didn't actually read my posts in this thread. I couldn't have been any clearer. If you go back and read it you'll see examples that I posted. Hint: starts with a P and ends with an ortugal.

Yep. It doesn't make business sense. And these guys are business men. They aren't going to run the risk of having millions or billions of product seized over a 20-30 percent tax. Why? Because it doesn't make business sense. They are losing more now to siezure than they would lose if they went the legal route. And since nobody is in business to lose money, which way do you think they will do things?

I read a few posts then I posted my opinion on the topic not your posts. So no, I didn't know what you posted. You had a couple words in caps...

Not everyone is going to agree with my opinion, and that is fine.

Like everyone else, they'll figure out creative taxes always a loophole, shit Obama will probably give him tax breaks. Fact of the matter is $$ is the reason its not legal. Big campaign contributors don't want it to happen. They say "drugs are dangerous" yet their product kills more than all the drugs combined.....

Why would someone pay taxes on something when they can continue doing it the old way? Besides, Pablo is still going to want his share. I doubt he is going to want to pay taxes either.
If I could buy cleaner, safer, accurately weighed, clearly labelled drugs with a consistent (and potentially higher) potency legally from the store down the street, and maybe even cheaper, why the hell would I deal with some shady drug dealer? (no offense to any drug dealers on the board)

I dunno, maybe you are on welfare and can't afford it? I am curious to know the price hike if they were to legalize. What drugs are you referring to? Also, most people who do drugs have the same drug dealer they go to. I don't know many people who change their drug dealer every purchase.

Obviously, you pass it off on the consumer. Either way it would be the same as cigarettes. Higher prices don't detour the use just simply cost the consumer more $$. THat would be funny as shit, buying drugs with foodstamps. NINJA PLEASE

Why do you assume there would be a price hike? Which cost more, illegal nasty moonshine back in the day (count for inflation) or a bottle from the liquor store now? Put it in our economy and introduce a lot more competition, and prices will have to stay reasonable. Drug dealers will fold and so will the cartels.

Mike, your reading comprehension sucks. Lol. Are you just skimming at work or on the phone while browsing? It's not just this thread that I've noticed it, just the most recent. Everyone else knew what he was saying. I thought he was perfectly clear, but that's just me.

Drugs are always evolving. Look no further than Salvia, K2, etc. There will ALWAYS be drug abuse. Period. We could find a way to kill off all cocoa plants, opium, pot plants, and people will find another substance to abuse. Fighting a war that can't ever be won isn't going to magically make addictive personalities cease to exist. The addictive personalities will simply find something else to abuse and k2 is proof positive of that.

Survival of the fittest, only the strong survive, Darwinism, whatever you choose to call it. It exists in every form of life on this planet. Animals, plants, disease, etc. If the crackheads weed themselves out on a crack overdose, so be it. If it's not a crack overdose, it's going to be something else. Why? Because they are weak.

It's pretty clear that you don't know a whole lot about drug culture anyway, which is not meant as an insult. Good for you. Just keep your mind open and don't put all of your passion behind (inaccurate and uninformed) assumptions.

I am on a call actually...

Disputing is sort of pointless when you think about it. Two opinions collide and neither party rarely ever persuades the other. lol We can agree to disagree.

for sure, i just find it futile to fight something you will never beat. I don't use any scheduled narcotics. You will spend a lot more money fighting it than you would just to legalize it and make $ on it
