went to my favorite restaurant here in Alvin last night for my b-day.
my bartender was murdering me on my whiskeys... pouring them ridiculously tall, ice cold beer on tap in frosted mugs...
started with some fried oysters w/ bacon and jalapeno, a bad ass burger w/ sweet potato fries, and banana fosters bread pudding for desert
but man, the highlight was actually the bread and butter from the "nice" restaurant inside (we typically eat outside at the burger bar... it's more our speed, and they let us bring our dog, etc.)
in the past they had whipped butter with a little bit of honey in it... damn good obv, but they just came up with a new butter spread for the butter.
they brown the butter... then they take Chambord liqueur and reduce it down to the point that it almost caramelizes and they whip that with the browned butter.
it's fucking insane! the manager sent me home with three to-go cups full of it
