Well, Joe's BBQ didn't win best BBQ this year (though it's still the best I've ever had. I think the lack of consistency and repeatability from day to day hurts them. If you go during peak times, it will be the best brisket you've ever had. If off-peak, get the BBQ baked potato, and you'll be golden!)

BUT, we haven't been eating there because a new place opened up in Alvin that we've been frequenting way too often. They have a fine dining restaurant and an outdoor "burger bar" and you can order off of either menu.

There burgers are the best fucking burgers I have ever eaten, and I've eaten a LOT of burgers.

Just found out today they won best burger in Houston, and it's well deserved. If you find yourself in Alvin, hit me up and let's get a burger! LOL

Jax has the best Chicken Fried steak though IMO.

I have to admit, Red Robin does have a rocking fucking burger. I'm normally anti-chain, but I can't complain a bit about their burgers. Mighty tasty. Not the best I've ever had, but great nonetheless.
