  • Where can I find the answer to this?

In July 2006 I got a DWI and was arrested. I did pre-trial diverson (probation and such) and I was told it would not be on my record. Now it's almost 5 years later and I need to drive a bus to get a coaching job. Is there a way I would be to see my records (driving and I guess arrest/conviction) to see if it is on there? because It is my understanding I was never "convicted"

    Thanks

Yea youll just need to go to the courthouse and get the paper that shows you were never convicted of the crime. I ran into the same issue with a misdemeanor on my record when i was moving into my apartment. I know in Dallas County its one dollar per sheet of your record. And its only one sheet you need!

    Good luck

Be careful of the language on the application. I'm having a similar disclosure issue in that I wasn't convicted, but the liscense applications ask if I was ever *arrested and/or charged* with an offense other than a misdemeanor traffic violation.

I have to disclose the arrest unless I have it expunged.
