Do I need to report a lost drivers license? I've been holding with tdot in Austin and I was just wondering if this us necessary

Yes just so you have record of it. You know in case someone starts getting tickets with it or opening their own special credit accounts. It will just help your case should you need it. Just call, or drop by and have them note it in their records and give you a service number. Not really a full blown report.

When i was 18 i gave my old ID to a friend so he could buy smokes with it. 3 years go by and i get a call from my mother saying a detective wanted to speak with me. Come to find out a house was robbed and my ID was conveniently place on the floor. Luckily for me i had a air tight alibi, i was in bootcamp the time of the robbery. And another quick story. My sister-inlaw had her purse stolen about a year ago. The person who stole it used it in a traffic stop and the ticket went to warrant. My sister-inlaw gets pulled over one day and arrested for the warrant she knew nothing about.
