Believe it or not, English skills are not terribly important in engineering.

I have trouble with spelling or grammar, dyslexia is a problem with me too. I do have a 4.0GPA at UTA. I guess I am the classic case of insanity and genius being close.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

                    Disagree.

Technical writing and public speaking are two skills I would consider invaluable. If your job puts you in the position to send emails or verbally convey your ideas to any sort of outsider then you need to be able to communicate effectively and accurately... and people notice spelling.

Not to mention most engineers have zero people skills.

Lol...and that's another misconception. Engineers work with more people than you'd think.

Make your average engineer talk to a random girl for 5 minutes without talking about their chosen profession and see how well it works out.
