Optioned out I got to $69,xxx for the V so I rounded up for the $70,000. GT500 is what $50,000? Plus the package is $80,000 on top of that for a grand total of $130,000 for the Super Snake.

Not the way I read it. The $80k is for the current 2011, $50k for the base car plus the upgrade. The 2012 is listed to come in at under $100k total, according to the article.

Regardless, I'll drop $100k on a ZR1. I've been eyeballing those lately, fucking amazing.

If you hand me $100k I'm gonna find a low mile C6, keep it bone stock, and invest the rest. I sure as hell am not gonna spend it on a mustang that's worth half in 6 months.

Around that amount would mean a CTS-V with high miles. There is a 2009 on ebay right now for around the same price as that GT500 but it has 50K miles on it. One with low miles would cost $3-5K more. Finding an acceptable one (to me) with a stick is almost a quest for the holy grail. Although there is one on there now with a stick.

One thing I learned with the luxury cars is that the miles don't determine the price as much as the model year. Two years from now you will be able to buy a 2009 car with 10K miles on it for $30K just because it is "four years old!". I kind of like that idea when it comes to the CTS-V.

What is a used zr1 going for?

I had almost traded my 07 gt500 for a super snake. The guy wanted to go mod crazy and felt bad due to the cost of the supersnake. He said he got a deal on it at only $65k, and I've since seen them sell for low 50's with lower miles.

Depends on the miles, but you can get an '09 ZR1 for under $80k with some miles if you look around or you can get a new one for $20k off sticker.

The 2012 Super Snake will be legal to drive on public roads on all 50 states, the carmaker promised, and it will cost less than $100,000.

It was my understanding that a warranty can be purchased at the dealerships still, its Shelby that won't warranty them.
