Some of you are saying why would they be scared of a little 50lb kid. Chances are they may not be. Most likely they are worried about his own safety. The kid was throwing desks, tvs, and ripping the walls apart. Yelling come get me F***ers. The officers no doubt would have over powered him easily, but most likely would have hurt the kid.

If you start showing the kid what discipline is all about in moderation (like what should have been done from the start), then they're less likely to go full tilt FTP/ Fuck the World.

The cops had guns, why didn't they just shoot him?

A Taser is also effective, and would have been appropriate except my particular department has rules agaisnt using it against the young, old, pregnant, and other medical factors. Hell, it's like we have to make them have a physical before we can Tase them.
Matt, I think you're a smart guy, and honestly, I believe you are a very reasonable guy. If we were talking about an adult, hell, even a 14 year old, it would be a different story. This kid is 8 years old. Sure he's a little shit, but pepper spray? Seriously.
I'm not only blaming the cop. I'm blaming everyone involved for being such a bunch of faggots that adults weren't able to handle this situation without calling the cops.

I agree with the last part of your statement, but I don't see the problem really. Kid got what was coming to him. I'm sure he was warned that he was about to get sprayed. He just didn't give a fuck.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

It might have been a female cop, it might have been a 400 lb donut munching lard ass. We don't have any other info on the officer(s) involved. This could have been solved by simply throwing a blanket over the kid and pinning him to the floor. The trick with a club/stick/any other distance weapon is to close that distance quickly so the weapon becomes ineffective. I've used that tactic before, and before the day of the TASER it almost got me stabbed by a crazy bitch with a large kitchen knife. You have to completely and accurately assess the situation before putting yourself at risk.
The problem with pepper spray/batons/Taser is that quite often the officer uses the tool as discipline instead of the intended use of appropriately subduing the offender.

We are required to announce "TASER! or SPRAY!" before using them.

Part#2. Exactly my point. These kids get no punishment until one day this shit happens. They don't feel like they're being disciplined, because they don't know what it is. This kid will forever feel like he was assaulted by the big bad police, and it was everyone besides his fault that he fucked up.
When I was young, I had a bad temper. I didn't give a shit about the rules. I was disciplined by people who understood that avoiding the problem until it's out of control and then over reacting is not going to create good people.

There are dogs that can learn sit after saying it a few times, what does a fucking human (regardless of age) need to be told 3 times to act like a human or atleast an 8 year and not a fucking lunatic. How many kids did you know when you were 8 that freightened a classroom and a teacher into another room? I grew up in a pretty shitty neighborhood and I never witnessed that.Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.

What about the "what ifs"? I don't see why there is any sympathy for him. Yeah, his mom is a poor excuse of a mother, but there have been TWO TIMES this was brought up, and it is still an issue.

SOME dogs can learn something after being shown a few times, but hundreds of thousands of dogs need much more repetition.
