Pepper spray? You've gotta be fucking kidding me. That kid must have been 50lbs of dynamite to scare Officer Bill E. Badass.
Policing isn't what it used to be. Now that it's "gentler and kinder", the days of searching for a 6' 200lb aggressive male is over. When you are hiring women that weigh 100 lbs, I can see one of these kinds of officers using spray.
I didn't say that I would, just that the officers of today are of a different breed than they were 20-30 years ago. They are a product of their time and today we are expected to handle everyone without going hands-on.
I don't see anything wrong with pepper spray. The little shit has been known for his problems and the officers tried talking him down. What if the little shit injured another child during the officers "talk down session"? What if the officer tried to stop the kid and something magically happened where the officer injured the child? A lot of what ifs I know.
This is exactly what is wrong with people these days. The first 2 "calm down sessions" the police did obviously weren't effective. At what point does someone have to pay for there mistakes and learn from it instead of whinning and complaining about how unfair it is?
It seems no one wants to take responsibility for their situation but would rather resent and point fingers at the system.
He is 8, and was pepper sprayed, who gives a fuck, he deserved it.
I am sure if there was another post about how an 8 year kid beat the shit out of 5 students today during a police calm down dispute there would be another thread about how lazy cops are..
Give me a fucking break...

i see no problem, lord knows if he had beat the living shit out of the kid like he deserved he'd get sued and prob loose a job. Seems like a non lethal alternative and he used good judgement. That kid will get handled the first day of 6th grade when he runs his mouth to an 8th grader.....
That kid needs help. No 2 ways about it. Get MOM out of the picture, get a STRONG guidance figure in, teach the child how to behave, how to be responsible, etc, and move on. PERIOD THE END. If the child can not accept these things then he/she needs MUCH more care. This kid... should NEVER be allowed in the military. I feel sorry for the kid. I bet he plays Call of Duty and other types of games. He is just acting out what he's learned. And his ability to differentiate between real and unreal is skewed.
Just my 2¢.
Get mom out of the picture because I'm sure she lets the tyrant run the household (looking at all the stuff in his room). This is probably why he flipped out because the teachers actually told him "no" to something. This kid needs in the military NOW with DI screaming in face belittling him and put him back down on the lower echelons of the chain of command. Then mom needs to be taught how to be mom and some passive spoiler (again, all the stuff in his room she probably buys to placate him).
My $0.02.

Have you ever been pepper sprayed? How much damage is an 8 year old going to do? The shitty parents should have been beating that kids ass long ago, but a POLICE OFFICER using PEPPER SPRAY is fucking absurd.

I agree completely using the pepper spray was absurd, he should have tased him.

Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. If it'll cheer you up, Geor swallows. And even if it doesn't cheer you up, it cheers him up.
that is the problem with people these days, they want the schools to raise their kids. she even said the cops should have talked to him for 5 or 10 minutes to try and calm him down. bitch should teach her kid to act right instead of letting him act like a fucking heathen and expect other people to deal with him
fuck that, spray his ass again
hell, he even said he deserved it!
That woman needs her ass whipped and that child needs a lot more than a therapist.

Yeah it is the parents fault, but unfortunately the kid isn't the parents responsibility when he is threatening the entire class and is throwing shit all over the place. I hate to say it but that 8 year old is far to gone to be saved by mommy or anyone else. He is most likely going to grow up and cause more damage and probably end up in jail or dead. I guess when he brings a gun to school in a few years and really threatens the class we can have this conversation again about what action is necessary.
