I like Etrade because they give you that little encrypted log in keychain thing. But really any of the ones suggested here will be fine.

BofA sent me one of those. I would have to press it and it would generate a code just like a Token before I place any trades.

I wrote a check to AG Edwards and told the broker what stocks to buy. It definitely wasn't the cheapest or most reliable method but it worked. It helped that the same broker sold my restricted stocks for me, which was a huge PITA.

He made probably $500 off both deals though!

I feel compelled to tell you this, as I learned the hard way.

If you have a cash account and are going to be buying and selling within a short period ie 2-3 days, you make sure your funds clear before you buy again. When you sell off your shares, they typically take 3 days to complete the transaction. If you buy more shares of another company before they clear, you either have to hold that position until you transaction clears or you will get a nasty gram...

CCJ is usually the type of stock I go after and catch the bounce (FNSR as an example), however, most of the indicators are still pointing down. As for WPRT, I wouldn't go anywhere near that. Just my opinion though - everyone has their own stategy and more power to them as to what works for them.

Freeride/Good Faith Violation. You have to use the settled free balance in a cash account. That's why I advise most people to buy/sell on margin and just not borrow until you're comfortable with leverage (if you in fact ever desire leverage).

Yeah, I didn't know the exact terms. No bueno.. I almost did it the other day (again) with a stock I wanted to short for an hour or two but Scottrade flashed an error message from hell at me..
