      as soon as you get home chunk everything straight into the washing machine with a bit of bleech. leave shoes, luggage, and computers outside away from the house for a few days and make a pentagram moat of raid around its perimeter.

        Same, but I try to look for them these days. I still in Marriott hotels if at all possible, so far so good there.

          You can thank the left for that. Had they not banned DDT in the 70s (after causing a fake panic about the substance), the bedbug infestation sweeping the entire nation would not have happened.

                  Several years ago, I was at the Westin Atlanta for work. Got home, and a day or two later I broke out in a nasty rash. I can't remember what it was, as it's been so long ago, but it was determined to have been contracted from the bed I slept in. IIRC, that hotel was $200+/night. Not a Days Inn, etc.

                  It wasn't bed bugs, but it was along the same lines.
