It's amazing. I remember buying the CD back in middle school and I would fall asleep at night w/ it playing in my headphones. Now, I'll throw the whole album on repeat for long road bike rides or road trips.

Yes sir. It has yet to get old. If I need to mentally GTFO I'll throw it on and get lost.

Agree on Nirvana. They took a big swing on a set with relatively unknown songs and connected.

I was a Junior in high school and remember flipping on MTV when I got home and Kurt Loder was talking about it. I wasn't a HUGE fan of Nirvanas music, but I liked them and had a couple of their tapes(lol!). It sucked hearing that news, and listening to Courtney Love read his suicide note.

The article said he was born in 1967...I don't think that would make him 34. Sucks either way.

Hell, 6 of those 14 songs were covers.
                3 Meat Puppets
                1 David Bowie
                1 The Vaselines
                1 Leadbelly

Yep. I thought they covered several of those better than the originals. I can seriously mellow the fuck out on that album. Not that I disliked Bleach, In Utero, Incesticide, Nevermind, etc, but it was so drastically different than in studio versions of the same songs. Low key, slow rhythym, etc. I think that's part of the reason why it remains one of my favorite albums. Cobain had a lot of raw emotion on the Unplugged set, that wasn't just in your face anger, hate, defeat, pity, etc.

How do you figure. If he died 4/5 and his birthday was 4/6 then he was indeed 34.

33 here I wonder what the median age is for this site. I have to pinch myself when I hear that Alice in Chains is a classic group.
