Got to love Summit Racing

I called Sunday and had them price match a $499 carburetor to a local store that it on sale for $428. They were more than happy to do it and did not even care that I would have had to pay tax here which would have made it $463. On top of that they did not even charge me the 12.95 handling fee! Maybe I will call instead of ordering online from now on.

I ordered last week and didn't get the handling fee. I wonder if they are just raising their prices a bit to cover the charge then making us think that it's gone away.

My same order online was about $595 with a 12.95 handling fee and no price match. I called and got all the same stuff for $505 to my door. Price match and no handling.

I can't say their fittings are too great but their customer service lately has be SPOT ON.

Their customer service has always been spot on. I once tried an electric water pump on my 65. I took it to the track and it did not help the car at all and wasn't worth the money or the hassle. I was honest with them and told them. They let me return a used item and gave me a full refund.

Yeah gottta love summit! Gotta love paying at least 25% more for pretty much anything that they carry but hell were all rich here anyways so who cares.

FWIW I price shop everything I buy online between Summit and Jegs and they are most often within a couple of bucks of each other.

The cat pipes I just ordered were the exact same price at both places.

I price matched the only thing they were more expensive on. Let me know where you are finding parts 25% cheaper. I do not believe this.

If you guys are price matching between jegs and summit your are not going to save much if anything. Just do a Google search for whatever you are in the market for, spend a little time shopping around, and 90% of them time(which is damn good odds) You can find anything you need for a steep discount over places like that. Places that do not have the overhead like jegs or summit do. Places that are not locked into agreements to sell certain items at a certain price etc.... I am telling you I NEVER buy anything retail unless it is just cheap to start with or its an emergency. I promise you everything I buy online is anywhere from a 30-50% discount over big box stores or places like, summit, crutchfield, etc... Yes you pay shipping but almost never pay sales tax so its a wash. I probly have anywhere from 5-20 boxes a month show up here at the house and I have been doing this for near 10 years now. I am not talking small ticket items either, I am talking guns, high end electronics, tools, wheels and tires, home appliances, car parts, the list goes on......

Its not just one website, it depends on what you are looking for. I do not have a certain website that I go to just for car parts or one for electronics. It takes shopping around, Sometimes I can spend around a week off and on searching for the right deal on stuff.
