  • My brother broke his face

Literally, apparently. Two nights ago, I was talking to him and everything was going great, talked about my new job and working out, and him spending some time down here in the summer...all was good. Tonight, at about 11pm, my dad called me and said that he's in the hospital with a broken face. He got elbowed playing soccer(recreationally) and has six breaks. He's not in critical condition or anything but he's going to have to have reconstructive surgery. Guess I'm gonna have to make a trip up to dfw here pretty soon. I always give him shit about being taller than him, I guess now I can brag about how much better looking I am than him.

DUring Soccer? Really? Shit, i'd of lied and said something manly, like a fight, or baseball to the face after a batter hit it.

I would argue the point of soccer being a really demanding sport and it can get pretty physical....but you're a goddamn idiot and i don't want to waste my time.

That sucks Josh. (For your brother.) I'd like to see his facial expression at the first joke...

six breaks from one elbow, playing soccer? Sorta seems like he's lying to cover up a fight.

Either way, good luck to him. Sounds like he's going to have some pain for a while.

TENGRAM, is your CT a clever way of saying "Jerk"? LOL
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

6 breaks would be one massive elbow smash. Hopefully everything heals ok - I know my hands swell up and hurt where they broke when the weather changes - can't imagine having that feeling throughout my face.

Soccer? Sounds more like a damn sledgehammer.

WOW I pray for a speedy recovery! He's going to be in a WORLD of pain

I broke my face in two places in highschool and that was a pain like no other. I hope the dope keeps him numb for now

People that have never played soccer have no idea of the demands it puts on the body.

I'm not doubting that a person needs to be very athletic to play soccer on any kind of professional level, but I'm pretty sure a Jon jones elbow to the face isn't the norm, like in other sports where contact is not only not frowned upon by a gay frenchman, but encouranged and desired to be as painful as possible.

There's actually a pretty fair amount of contact in soccer, some even permissible. But unfortunately, some players try to get away with a little too much.

but you also have to think about other things. His particular face structure, point of impact, etc.
