  • First the redlight tickets, now speeding ticket cameras

Just got a speeding ticket in the mail . When the fuck did they start this shit? Wasn't me driving, it was my ex in a car registered to me that I financed for her. She has gotten 2 redlight tickets and now this speeding ticket. This was in Medina, Tn

It says it's a "non Moving" violation and no points will be asseessed. Wonder what happens if I don't pay it?

They have those in Arizona as well and California. They do suck. I believe the people in Arizona raised hell about them. I hope they never get them here in DFW.

Forgot about Arizona. If they are in California I can assure you they will be in Texas. Texas leaders suffer from west coast penis envy.

Doesn't really matter. They can't enforce them. I had a red light camera flash me a few mornings ago. Guess I'm finally going to get to test the system.

Money generators! It'll help free up the police for more important things! No, we won't lay off law enforcement with these. The crime rate is up, but our revenue for speeding/red light infractions is up!

No wonder politicians can't manage our budget, it's too easy to keep on trying for 100% of our income.

Nothing new up here. They have them in Washington DC. They hang on wires over the lanes in 35 MPH zones. They are all over Connecticut Ave. when you enter DC. Last time I went it was at night and it was like a disco with all of the flashing from them.

I wish they would put them on Hillcrest here in Dallas so they could catch the DPD idiots driving 50 mph in a 35 zone every single fucking day.

There is a stretch of highway in northern new mexico near alberquerque where they use UAVs and police helicopters mounted with radar and camaras to monitor speed and send you a ticket.

I got one of those last time I was in Arizona. They have cameras that take pictures of the driver as well as the car so there's no doubt it was you driving the car. Problem is that they were sending the tickets via regular post and had no way to prove the ticketed person received the citation so people just didn't pay them. I paid mine anyways just because I don't need a warrant to show up on my record for a stupid ticket. I think California has started sending their citations registered mail so they can prove receipt.

Back in '91, when driving up to WTI I cut through the corner of New Mexico to get to I25. It was a desolate strip of road that seemed to last forever. Passed 2 white stripes across the road that apparently were a mile apart. A month or two later my mom called me up in Wyoming to let me know that a ticket for 132 in a 55 had been sent to the house along with several pictures. One of the car, one of the rear plate, and one of the side of my face through the drivers window. Never did pay that ticket and never heard a thing about it after initially receiving it. I never saw a plane or helicopter, but I was watching the road at that speed.

87 through Clayton? I ran from the cops there. Only time I ever was involved in a high speed pursuit.
