I'm still kicking myself in the ass for not buying a boatload of Ford stock when it was down around $2 per share. I've never bought stock and didn't know how to get started, so I just let it go. I was planning to invest $10k - I could've bought a new truck with the profits. Dammit.
Like they say, hindsight is 20/20.

Buying stock is such a crap shoot, but with something like that, it's not a bad idea to jump in. Just register with an online account like Scottrade, Fidelity, etc.

After being priced at $33 a share in the IPO, the stock opened at $35. It ended the day at $34.19, a gain of 3.6 percent, after trading as high as $35.99 in the first few minutes of trading. Almost 457 million GM shares traded, about one tenth of all trading of New York Stock Exchange shares.
