    TIA.
How much are you wanting to spend ?

I want to spend as little as possible. It's going to cost me at least $500 in gas plus 26+ hrs to do it myself. So I'm looking for something less than that.

Figure your time is worth at least $50/hr plus the $500 in gas and that's $1800. You can probably find somebody for less than that. You must really want that '72 frame. Is it filled with coke?

I've got a 72 burb that is 2wd coil sprung. I want a 4x4 that is leaf sprung. That's like finding hen's teeth.

I know I could hire a company to get it here, but I'm trying not to spend a grand on a $300 frame. Plus if I can I'd like to help out a fellow gear head.

I'll tell you right now you wont find anyone thats going to do it for less than say $1.30/loaded mile. Yahoo maps says 767 miles.. Thats right at $1000. Unless you can find someone with an empty trailer on a return haul...not going to happen.

What are your plans for the '72 2wd frame when you get the 4x4 frame ?

EDIT: Is the 2wd frame you have 5 lug ?

Do they have a forklift to load the frame? I can throw it out as a partial and see if someone with room is passing thru the area.
It would be cheaper finding a 48-53 ft flatbed with some open deck space than paying hot shot rates.

Yes, it is 5 lug, has disc front and drum rear, coil springs on all corners with trailing arm in the back, your standard 67-72 running gear setup.

I plan on parting out the 2wd frame once I get the 4x4 frame.

                        You interested?

I doubt they have a forklift. It's at a guys house, he looks to have a barn/acreage, so he might have a tractor with a bucket.

I found a co on uship that will do it for ~.40 a mile, but I wanted to see what else was out there.

Check on that and let me know. If I find anyone interested in the price range I can pass them along.
