  • Gonna call CarMax tomorrow, but want your opinion...

Bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler from carmax and also got the extended warranty. Bought it back in November of 2010. After dropping the top a few times I am finding out that it was fucked up the whole time, but I had no idea since i never dropped it. Will they replace the top, the bows, etc? or what am I to expect?

I'd imagine that it depends on the term of the warranty. If it's bumper to bumper they'll fix it, but if it's drivetrain only you're SOL for not catching it sooner.

Got the wife searching the filing cabinet for the warranty, but think it is bumper to bumper.

I've got a full warantee on mine (not carmax though), and dropped it off for a ticking lifter/follower. I ended up with a new version of my car to drive for the week while they fixed it, no questions asked. It all depends on the terms of your warrantee.

You probably won't get a rental, but they should fix it without issue.
