I need a good place to look for flights already looked a kayak.com lowest I could find was 298 from dfw nonstop round trip. Is this about right or are there any better deals out there for nonstop flights I don't need hotel, may be a rental car

    Sounds very decent to me.

What I would give to get from Cancun to DFW for $298 ONE WAY let alone RT...so stupid expensive to go to Mexico ...

I just did Dallas to Mazatlan return for 355.
I think his point is that the fish got low balled, fucked in the catfish asshole and you paid half price. The worst part was the fish explaining to his fish friends why his asshole smelled like redneck

$298 isn't out of line for Vegas.

DO NOT rent a car there. You do not need one. Cabs are cheap and absolutely everywhere. Driving in a throng of drunken tourists looking at everything but the road is a really bad idea.

I just booked a vegas trip in june with a hotel through southwest (they are the only airline that flies direct from midland.) I got Thurs-Sun at Aria with airfare for $700 a person.

Disagree on the car rental. Every casino on the street has free valet, so it's very easy to move between casinos using a rental car. Just tip the valet a buck or two. Easiest way to get around the strip IMO.

Just got back last week. Did the Spring Mountain driving school the 1st 3 days of the week and then partied it up Thur/Fri before coming home.

P.S. $298 round trip is a good deal, certainly if it's direct both ways.

Depends when you're going, I've found several round trip (non-stop) on AA.com for <$240 with taxes and everything.

Disagree. We always rent a car and it's very easy to get anywhere you want without having to drive the strip the whole way. Plus, you can get away from the strip and have a decent meal for way less $$ and see some of the other sights. We like to get off the strip during the day (Red Rock Canyon, Shelby museum, Hoover Dam, etc) then stay close to the hotel at night.

I guess my tendency to drink pretty much every day I'm out there weighs into my decision too. It is nice to see the other stuff too if you haven't. I've been out there probably 50 times, and I'm content to stay on the strip. I spend most of my time in the Bellagio / Ceasers area, so I walk most places. If I go to MGM, or up to Freemont, I'll hop on the tram or a cab. I usually only need transportation once or twice a day, and it is almost always less expensive than a rental car would be.

Gotcha. This May trip is probably going to be much more like that. We've been many times and have seen just about all we care to see so we'll probably just be doing the pub crawl for 5 days.
