  • Are you a business owner? Pay for cellulars?

I'm putting this here instead of the computer and gaming section so more eyes see it that may be interested.

Like you, i'm tired of carrying two phones, one for personal and one business.

I don't personally pay the tab of my business line, but some of you guys that own a business might be paying for your employees. I'm sure they're tired of carrying two phones too.

If they have a personal line that is an iPhone or Android based, continue reading.

Last night I setup a dual line that runs off Wifi, 4G, 3G, or as a last resort your cellular network. In most cases for us in bigger cities we will never be without 3G, so it always runs over voIP.

The dual line runs as a background application and you can place calls to NA and Canada with no fees, as well as text. Along with this you get a unique number and voicemail.

For me the convenience of carrying one phone is worth the 9.95 monthly price, but it's cheaper than having a whole separate line.

Not trying to sell this product in any way, but I think it's pretty damn cool, and it could save a business owner money.

    The application is called Line2.

Now with the Dell Venue from work, I don't see a reason to have an iphone too.

yeah, always has, and if you push your phone's voicemail to it, it will text you a transcribed version. If it works

                    Pushes texts, etc

I have never given my google voice number out to anyone to use, but both my mobiles, and my office phone's voicemail go to google voice's service.

And our paging system at work for on call goes texts to the google voice number, then forwards to both phones.

That's pretty awesome! This program isn't a contract at all, so I will check into Google too.

Well, in the end, both would be good for those who have to carry multiple phones.

so I just checked google voice, and the port option is now available for a one time 20 dollar fee.

It just was enabled in January 2011. I haven't checked how pictures work via text, but i'm going to test right now.

I've tried a few times over the past few months to setup a Google voice number, but there are no available numbers with 214, 972, 469, 940 or 817.
