I don't understand why calling autozone would even cross someones mind, they sell parts not work on cars.
he didn't say he calls autozone for advice, he said that the summit phone tech's are as bad as the vatozone counter folks. i highly doubt many people here call the parts store for advice, but when you are at the counter and ask them if they sell a xxxxx and they look at you like a confused dog then immediately respond with "no" it can REALLY piss you off. or you watch them type in the part you asked for and spell it totally wrong then tell you it is not in their system. bunch of morons and they seem to get worse every time i enter a place like that. "o-rings, what car do they come on?" ahhhhhh

Not referring to you, I said you as a general statement.

I doubt people here call autozone for help, but a lot of people do and they expect the person to be an expert. Now while I think you should know what you're selling, most of the people that work at az are college students just trying to make rent. So quit bitching and instead of making a scene and getting pissed, help the person helping you if it's obvious they don't know what they are doing. Working with retards use to make me angry but I realized they just don't know, so instead of bitching I help them learn.

I guess people would rather bitch and moan then help someone.

Just a strut tower, not one side.

                Either way it still goes.

Try asking for Ranchero or Cougar parts.

I don't know how their pricing is for foxes, but I've never found anything that was cheaper at Summit for my car. I liked window shopping when I lived up there, but I always found better deals somewhere else.

I used to order from Summit all the time in Hawaii cause with shipping they were the cheapest and there was NOPLACE local to get Stang parts. Moving to Texas I could drive to all the Mustang shops so I stopped buying from Summit. With the Mark VIII I find the parts are on par with everyone else but I will order from Summit cause they have excellent service. Every problem I ever had was delt with fast and in my favor.
At 1.5 years though I wouldnt expect them to correct an issue like that. I bet if it was at 6 months they would have done something.

Sorry you are dealing with this crap though. I hate spending money on usless parts.

I have been pretty happy with Summitt. I bought a crapload of parts from them for my turbo build and had some parts for almost 6 months that I didn't end up using. I called them and they said they would take all of them back and charge a 10% restocking fee. I don't know many places with a policy like that but I was very happy. I got a refund for everything I sent back and didn't even have to mess with a merch. credit.

I had a similar incident where they sent me the wrong struts for my car. They express shipped the new parts and e-mailed me a label to send back the wrong parts. No money out of my pocket and I had the correct part the next day. That's what I would recommend in a situation like yours.
