Wow, that was one big fireball. I bet that insurance agent was hiding under a desk when that phone call came in.

      Doesn't matter now for certain.

But, just curious if the driver was another illegal alien w/o a license nor insurance on our roads. If so, in short, we, the tax payers will be paying for this entire mess and he'd just get deported to try and come back again.

I'm sure you're being sarcastic here, but I meant immigration status.

Recently heard now they are going to investigate the bar. How the hell is it the bar's fault?

Burn the drunk on a stake...fixes that problem. Why should we tax payers foot the bill for this shit bag?

Not necessarily fixed. He was from Washington state. So he doesn't have a really thick accent. But it is still noticeable.

The bar is at fault for serving him as much as they did... This morning the radio said he told the reporter that he remembered having 10 beers but had been at the bar drinking all night... TABC will tear the bar apart investigating... I work in the restaurant field and have had one of these investigations go on... We were found to not be at fault because the guy only had 2 beers with us before going up the street and having 8 more beers and 6 shots... He didn't remember going up the street...

Sad to see that blame being shifted from the drunken roach that committed the crime all by himself to the bar owner(s).

Some one with cash has to pay. The guy, himself, probably doesn't have enough. And IF he does have insurance, they'll want to minimize what they have to pay.

Personally, I think they should liquidate every asset the guy has, then make him do hard time with manual labor until the equivalent remainder of money has been paid. Then put him in the chair.

Next his lawyer will blame Bush. He lost his job because of the bad economy, was drinking to help ease the pain, one thing led to another and he had too much to drink and made a bad choice to get behind the wheel of his truck...

And let the truck drivers family throw the switch.
