Just bought a 2011 Challenger SRT8, Opinions?

They might weigh a little more and be a little slower than the others but that wouldn't bother me, although I guess it does with some of the 1/4 mile kings on here that apperantly drag race their daily drivers red light to red light all day.

Everytime I see one on the street I like them even more, they are just damn good looking cars.

Could you expand on this? Do you mean that they burn oil right off the lot? That would be really disappointing.

We have a few customers with the Hemi motors, yes they all complain about changing plugs every 15,000 miles and according to them they use alot of oil. I have no experience with them at all.

These few I speak of are all old men in their late 50's and 60's. They do not drive their cars hard and they are all pretty nice cars. Everything from the SRT8 Challenger to SRT 300C.

They have some kind of crank case issue that makes them use oil, they have a little after market catch can that helps with the consumption.

Biggest drivability problem new dodge cars have is evap system leaks. That and people running cheap gas. The diesels biggest problem is the crap gas around here and people not changing fuel filters.

Just put a deposit on an SRT8 at Huffines in Lewisville. It should be in in about 3 weeks. Anyone have any experiences with these cars?

I love the car but like others have said to pricey for me. Worst thing about them is when you have to change those brembo brakes! Bend over and take it! Personally if I had the scratch I would have bought a Mopar 10 edition and had a dealer installed blower put on so you keep the warranty.

If cash were in hand, I would opt for the Challenger over the other 2. They look the best and with 3 kids, it is the best option with 2 doors.

Agreed. Though personally, if I were in the market, I'd get an 05-09 GT and throw some money at it before pulling the trigger on a Challenger. Looks almost as good to my eye (can't stand the 2010 body changes), and having owned an '05 in the past, I already know they're really fun to drive.

Such a damned porker, but it moves well for it's size. 13.0@111 stock in a 4300lbs car ain't bad. I like the Mustang fine, but I would take the challenger over it any day of the week.
