  • Lost a bet with the wife, gotta eat sushi, what do i eat?

So I lost a bet with the wife, and I have to take her to some sushi place down off Oak Lawn. I've never been to a sushi bar before, what do you recommend I eat there tonight? (those who are sushi experts)

Dragon rolls, volcano rolls, spider rolls are hard to go wrong with. I don't do sashimi though.

Start with a Cali roll since you're a newb. Move on to the other rolls if you can handle it.

Was never a big sushi fan until I moved to SF. The shit out here is amazing. We load up on Nigiri style tuna/tuna belly and salmon/salmon belly. A salmon avocado roll or a dragon roll is a pretty safe bet.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Why don't you eat her tuna and forget the sushi. It's a win win for both parties.

California and philidelphia rolls are safe intros to aushi.

Stay the fuck away from urchin, roe or anything with quail egg.

Sushi has alot to do with textures, so some of the things make be a shock to you.

Keep this in mind though. Everything is edible and safe, its not going to hurt you.

I personally love octopus, but it can be chewy and tough.

Go easy on the wasabi, but everyone starts out with too much

And if you do sake, get it warm.

Btw, don't forget to get a little saucer of soy sauce to dip your rolls in. It might make it easier for you to stomach.
